Nuthatch vs. Titmouse

A Tufted Titmouse was eyeballing the buffet at the feeder when a Carolina Chickadee White-breasted Nuthatch flew up.  I don’t know if the chickadee nuthatch was trying to scare off the titmouse or if this behavior had an entirely different purpose, but it was pretty fun to watch.

Titmouse was not impressed.

    • Crap, you’re absolutely right. I can’t believe I missed something so obvious. Thanks. I’d been watching WBNU and CACH all morning at this feeder, so you’d think I would have been able this get this right.
