Catching up

I haven’t posted in a few weeks so I thought I’d catch up with a pretty large photo dump. I’ve been birding quite a lot but for some reason can’t seem to bring myself to do the drudge work of editing and posting. Meredith is up over 64 feet for the first time in nearly 15 years.  The only draw back is that it is much more difficult to get photos of waterfowl on the lake now. I can see the birds out there, but am unable to ID them with any degree of confidence. The water temp is getting pretty cool so I haven’t been out in the kayak for several weeks and the birds are inaccessible by land right now. I’ve been collecting the clothing for the cooler temps, so maybe if we can get a day when the wind isn’t blowing so hard I can get out and get a few pictures of the ducks, grebes, coots, loons, teal, etc, that I know must be out there.

Anyway, here’s a few photographs from mid-fall in the Texas Panhandle.
