A couple of days ago the weather was warm enough and the wind was still enough that I hauled my kayak out to the lake and paddled around the southern end for a few hours. The water is pretty shallow and there are a lot of reed beds that harbor waterfowl and blackbirds by the score. Came upon this flock of about a hundred American Wite pelicans and maybe 50 or 60 Double-crested Cormorants and a dozen or so Ring-billed Gulls. I had seen them flying in earlier and was trying to get into position for some photos when a fisherman in a power boat came up the channel and startled them. Still got some good photos.
