American White Pelican

It’s getting pretty late in the year for pelicans in the panhandle, but there are still a dozen or so out at the lake. I photographed these last week. The reddish-brown stains on the feathers are from the very muddy Canadian River that empties into Meredith right near where they are staying.American White Pelican (103) (1024x684)American White Pelican (102) (1024x689)American White Pelican (97) (1024x587)American White Pelican (94) (1024x696)American White Pelican (90) (1024x652)American White Pelican (83) (1024x688)American White Pelican (81) (1024x727)
