Hansford County

Cackling Goose

I was out at Spring Canyon in time to catch the sunrise one morning last week and was rewarded with gorgeous light on this Cackling Goose, a smaller relatie of the Canada (not Canadian) Goose.

Canada Geese and Goslings

I’ve been watching a pair of Canada Geese and their babies at Spring Canyon for the last month. Here’s a few photgraphs of the family. Two of the goslings have disappeared unfortunately and since the Memorial Day weekend I haven’t seen any of the geese at all.
